During Covid-19 Omicron Variant
5th January 2022
Coast Smoke Alarms are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our team, clients and tenants. With the impact of the Omicron variant, we have taken the following mandatory steps.
Please note: All our operations team are double vaccinated
Minimising Risk
All our operations team, technicians and electricians are:
- Equipped with personal protective equipment, masks, sanitiser and disposable gloves. The wearing of masks in a property is mandatory.
- Required to always maintain social distancing requirements
- Minimise the amount of time spent in a property to lower exposure risk
- If any team member is unwell with covid symptoms they do not attend work until they meet the specified government requirements
Tenants
We know that people are understandably concerned about allowing our team access to their property to inspect their smoke alarms.
Smoke alarm services are an essential safety service and even through this pandemic these vital safety checks must be carried out to ensure tenanted properties are safe in the event of a fire and to meet government legislative directives.
Only functioning smoke alarms save lives and we are committed to ensuring the ongoing safety of you and the other residents in the property.
Please do not cancel your smoke alarm inspection unless you have Covid-19 symptoms or have been told to self-isolate. Our team will follow our minimal contact procedure and always wear a mask and sanitise their hands upon entry.
