Do I need to upgrade smoke alarms in my holiday let?
To meet legislative requirements, all holiday lets in Queensland must have upgraded smoke alarms by January 1, 2027, ensuring maximum guest safety in case of fire. An upgrade increases protection with interconnected alarms and alarms in bedrooms, alerting everyone even if they are asleep behind closed doors and giving them more time to escape safely.
